Six of us visited Casale della Nonna and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had use of the ground floor and top floor which provided plenty of room for all of us, particularly as we spent so much time using the stunning terrace which overlooks Maori. Both Antonella and her father Delio made us feel exceptionally welcome. Antonella met us on arrival, even though we were several hours early, she gave us thorough instructions on the Casale and the area, leaving some useful guidebooks and contacts. In addition, she maintained regular contact to ensure everything ran smoothly for us. Delio gave us a very enjoyable lesson in pizza making (which is not as easy as it looks!), followed by a delicious Italian pizza feast and a tasting of the local speciality - aubergines in chocolate. The Casale is very well presented and was faultlessly clean on our arrival, it is in an amazing location, oozing Italian charm. The 348 steps up to the villa were challenging at times, particularly in midday temperatures of over 30 degrees, but had the very positive effect that though we gorged on pizza and superb Italian wines we didn't put on any weight! Thank you very much Antonella and Delio :)
